About me — a short letter.
If we worked together, you'd probably find out pretty quickly that I take design seriously but not myself. I tend to zoom out before I zoom in, because I want to understand the larger problem before I commit to a pixel. Consistency is what I care about most; the small details have to ladder up to something bigger.
Background
I work best when I can own a problem end to end, asking the questions no one's asked yet, finding the real issue underneath the brief, and shaping the solution from there. After seven years across interiors, graphics, and interaction design, I've stopped waiting for someone to hand me a fully scoped problem. I'd rather go find it.
I grew up around design without realizing it. First studying interiors, then graphics, now interaction. I used to think the switching meant I was lost. These days I think it just means I'm curious about how things are made at every scale, from a room to a button.
Outside of work, I cook, play a lot of video games, and sing karaoke with friends louder than I should. Living in San Francisco, I've also become someone who genuinely needs to touch grass. Being near things that grow keeps me honest about what screens can and can't do.
I don't have a tidy "I knew I was a designer at age six" moment, but what I have is a long pattern of caring about how things feel: rooms, posters, interfaces, dinners, songs. I think that pattern is the story.
If anything here resonated, I'd love to hear from you, or even just to talk. Some of my favorite conversations have started with a stranger's email.
